The list price was 400 dollars, which was about 54,000 yen in Japanese yen at the time.
This is a convincing quality.
However, upon closer inspection, the high-quality leather has become dull due to the accumulation of dirt from use, and the outsole is noticeably worn.
First, clean the soles. While humans wash from the top down, sneakers should be washed from the bottom up.
If you start by washing the upper, there is a risk that you will re-dirt the upper that you just cleaned when cleaning the sole.
Use the brass brush part of the Utility Blush to sweep away stubborn grime.
Since HEEL PLUS 3.0 will be applied later, we will pay particular attention to the heel area.
Let's get to the main topic, the upper part.
There are two things to be careful of.
① Do not allow sand and dust, which can cause dull stains, to get stuck deep into the nap.
2) Do not harden the brushed part of the nubuck with cleaner or moisture.
③ Gently brush the entire upper with Cleaning Blush.
At this time, be sure to brush areas where dust tends to accumulate, such as the transitions in the upper and creases in the shoes, with particular care.
Brushing the fabric reduced the dullness that was originally on the surface. This prevents dust from getting deep into the nap.
②From here, use Foam Cleaner to thoroughly remove dirt.
Apply foam to the brush and clean the upper.
When doing this, do not spread the foam all over at once, but clean each part separately.
In my case, the order is toe → side → heel → tongue.
Not just nubuck, but all brushed materials have the characteristic of being very good at absorbing foam, making them difficult to foam.
Absorb the cleaner evenly into the material and gently move the brush around.
The bubbles pop and make a pleasant sound.
You can feel the dense foam trapping the dirt and the soft boar bristles scraping it away.
After scraping off the dirt with a brush, wipe it off thoroughly with a Cleaning Microfiber Towel as soon as possible.
This is the key point; if you do not wipe it thoroughly, the nubuck fibers will harden and you will be left with no choice.
Once you get that far, it's time for the final push.
The sterling silver is polished, the tongue is washed, and the laces are given a cleaning finish.
Because I had been so tense up until that point, the sense of accomplishment I felt immediately after cleaning was beyond my imagination.
This time, the customer has requested HEEL PLUS 3.0 as an option, so we will also install that.
The process is simple: 3 steps.
STEP 1 Wipe the heel with the included primer. This will harden the glue and make it more difficult to peel off.
STEP 2 Attach HEEL PLUS 3.0.
STEP 3 Cut off any excess parts.
